BFF

These pictures are the first known photograph's of the two Megans'. Megan Elizabeth and Megan Eliana have remained good friends for 6 years now in spite of a move that separated them by 2000 miles for 3 years. They picked their friendship up right where they left it when we finally returned to the Tri-Cities.

Crocodile Scales

I just wanted to share this funny conversation Megan and I had last night while walking through Kohl's.

Megan: What's for dinner?
Mommy: Fajita's
Megan: What's Fajita's?
Mommy: Mexican food, you like them.
Megan: But I want Crocodile Scales?
Mommy: What's Crocodile Scales?
Megan: Crocodile Scales is when you have some meat, some cheese and two tostitas.
Mommy: Well, you are in luck ... we are having Crocodile Scales.
Megan: Really?
Mommy: Yep ... that's what fajitas are you know, meat, cheese and a TORTILLA
Megan: No, I want two TORTILLAS
Mommy: Oh, you mean quesadillas?!?
Megan: Yeah, that's what I said QUESADILLAS

Butterfly World

Megan ... dad can you take us to Butterfly World?

Dad ... where's Butterfly World?

Mom ... (whispering from the front seat to dad) it's in Florida

Dad ... Sure we can go there someday

Megan ... Yay, I love butterfly world

Thomas ... MEGAN, WHERE IS IT? WHERE IS IT MEGAN? (capitalized because Thomas can't talk with a normal speaking voice when he is even remotely excited)

Megan ... it's in Florida

Thomas ... Oh

Megan ... do you know where Florida is?

Thomas ... yes

Megan ... where?

Thomas ... I don't know

Megan ... Florida is a town for butterflies

Dreams

We are moving home to Washington. The packers come tomorrow and we head out on Saturday. When we get to Washington we will be shacking up with the Haye's family until we close on our new home that daddy picked out for us. I was just explaining this to Megan ...

Mommy: Why don't you hold onto that letter to LaLa and Kelly and we'll give it to them when we see them. When we move to Washington we will be staying at their house until we move into our new house.
Megan (after she gets this sweet sweet look on her face and says in oh such a sugary voice): Awwww ... like a dream come true ...

BlowNex

Megan's not feeling well ... poor thing her cheeks are all red and her eyes are all glazed. She's been carrying around a little packet of tissues with her all day today ... well until she left them on the table.

So she sneezes and says "wud subwud breeg be by blownex please"

Happy Mother's Day!!!

We had a Mother's Day Tea today with Megan's class and it was absolutely divine. I love being this little girl's Mama!

Megan looked beautiful today in her new pretty pink dress that her daddy bought her.

The class did a wonderful job of singing "You are my Sunshine" and another Mother's Day song that I missed the name of. Then she gave me a flower arrangement that she had made with cupcake papers. She was so proud to give me those beautiful flowers.

I got a neat little Mother's Day Card that she made as well. Did you know that my favorite TV show is "Backyardigan's"? She got close with my favorite food when she answered "Wonton Soup" ... it's actually Hot and Sour but she got close.

Thank you Megan for making me a Mama ... I am so blessed to have you as a daughter!!!

Progress Report

I'm so bummed. Megan's progress report from Pre-School scans well on PDF but not so well with JPEG, which is the format that I can upload to blogger. Gonna have to just write out all the details for prosperity sake. I have the PDF files saved on my computer though.

Megan is a pleasure to have in our class. She has adjussted very well to the m orning class, and gets along well with all of her peers. She can be shy at times, and then suddenly walks over to someone and says "Hey, can I play too?" I'm sure Megan will do very well in Kindergarten.
